Students just need to bring clothing, toiletries and indoor shoes for the dormitory facility.  Students are sometimes able to utilize the Piuraaġvik Recreation Center, and should bring appropriate athletic shoes if wishing to do so. Everything else will be provided.

Students can expect to bunk with classmates, as 2-3 students are placed in each room. 

Security chaperones (both male and female) are on-site overnight to help maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

Intensives are short courses that typically last 1-2 weeks, though they could be longer. During an intensive, a student takes just one class all day for the length of the intensive.

Unfortunately, we are generally not able to make schedule changes once students arrive at the QLC. Each class is limited to a small number of students.

Credits are awarded based on the length of the intensive. Each week spent on an intensive is generally worth 1/4 credit. Some intensives are also aligned with Iļisaġvik College courses and may earn dual high school & college credit.
